Read The Directions
I've used tagging guns before but I've never had to put them together, only reloaded them. Once I received these I proceeded to act like I knew what I was doing. I removed the little white piece of plastic, shoved the needle in, and stuck the tags through the top. Only part I did right was sticking the tag through the top. So I opened the manual, had to force the needle out by using a scissor to grip around it, took the white plastic piece out of the trash, and followed directions. Lesson learned: Open the manual, read the manual, proceed accordingly. A nice and sturdy tagging gun. Exactly what I needed!

Best price for quality product!
I needed a tagging gun in a hurry and first went to my local office store. They had one in stock but wanted $51.99 for it!! I thought it was a joke and even had them price check it for me! No joke, they really wanted that much for it. I left the store, got in my car and checked Amazon from my phone. Sure enough, it was so much cheaper (even with one day shipping!) and the quality looked better. The Amram tagging gun arrived and I am super impressed. While I have been buying from Amazon for years now this is my first written review, because...included in the package was a kind note from the manufacturer asking me to!! They said feedback is important to them and included customer service contact info if needed. I am impressed! So often my item is shoved in a Prime box and that's it! Thank you Amram/Cambridge for a well made, quality product that is reasonably priced! And thank you for caring about your customers enough to provide support and a kind invitation for feedback.

Works really well... To those who are complaining about the hole it leaves..
Works really well. To those who are complaining about the hole it leaves... You will never find one that doesn't leave a hole when you stick the needle IN THE FABRIC. These are ALWAYS meant to go in the seam or on the clothing label (where a hole wont matter as much). If you put the need through the seam, it will not leave a hole because theres already opening in a seam where it was sewn. It's infuriating that people leave bad reviews of things when they're simply misusing a product. I hope my review helps people learn to use it properly.

AWESOME
Love this thing! Glad it come with refill needles and additional tag attachments. Not sure if people realize when you’re retagging items you’re not supposed to put it through the fabric. I guess working in retail has taught me this. But it is supposed to go through the seams or the size tag because it will leave a small hole. ALL taggers will leave a hole if punched through the fabric. This one is great quality and punches through thick material.

Awesome price gun!
My only regret with this is that I didn't purchase it sooner. This little price gun works great especially for garage sales. We have had only minor problems and have used it over 2,000 times. Every once in a while, the mechanism jams but it's seriously not a big deal. I just pull the plastic pieces out, squueze the trigger, and then reinsert and its fine. Save your money and just cut index cards in half to use for price tags to go with this though.

Worked Great - Saved Me Lots of Time and Hassle - Highly Recommend
I ordered this tagging gun after having purchased a similar cheaply made one from ebay. That one broke within the first 5 minutes of use. But then again it only cost me .99¢, so it's what I should have expected. Because I still needed to get price tags on the consignment sale items I was in the process of tagging I decided to spend the $10 to order this one in hopes that it would work better than the .99¢ model I had previously ordered from ebay that took 3 weeks to get here from China. Needless to say I was not disappointed with my purchase of this Tagging Gun and was able to tag all 360 garments of my clothing tagged in no time. Not only did it work better it came with plenty of tags and extra needles. It arrived very quickly since I purchased it with free 2 day shipping using my Prime. I tagged all of my items for the consignment sale using the same needle that came installed in the protective cap. I still haven't had to replace it and look forward to using it in the next consignment sale in the spring. The tags are easy to load and the needle is sharp enough to go through even the thickest of clothes. I even used it to tag some leather shoes and it went right through the leather straps with no problem. Overall, I highly recommend it for tagging consignment sale, garage sale items. It was a major time saver in my efforts to get my tagging done. I paid full price for this item and this review is based on my use of the item.

I made a quick video demonstrating how to set up the gun and how to use it.

Install Flash Player I made a little video showing how to set up and use the tagging gun. It was much easier than I anticipated. It's as simple as: 1. Turning the dial on the side to the 3 o'clock position. 2. Inserting the needle with the hollow side lined up with the opening on the gun (opposite side of the dial) 3. Turning the dial back to the 9 o'clock postion. 4. Inserting the plastic pieces with the lower case "T" side into the gun, pushing them in until they can't go anymore. 5. Put the paper tag on the needle or holding the paper tag with the hole lined up with where you want the barb/plastic piece to go in. 6. Pierce through the paper tag and the tag on the clothes until it comes out on the other size or where you want the back end of the barb to be (sometimes you can get it between layers if you want, but it's a little tricky). If there is no tag I try to line it up with a stitched seam so the hole blends in better. 7. Pull the trigger and then pull the gun away. The tag should be placed and ready. 8. Sometimes when I'm starting a new strand I have to pull the trigger twice to like prime the gun, but I think that's only if I don't get the strand pushed down in the gun enough. I find it easier to write on the tag before placing it so I'm not writing over clothes. I bought this because I was tagging about clothing 300-500 items for a garage sale. I have tried a few methods to sell clothes in the past. I've used stickers, but they fall off. I've done boxes with each box having certain priced items ($1 items in one box, $3 in a another), but people don't want to dig through boxes. I've done it where I don't price anything and have people ask for prices, but some people are too shy to ask or don't want to take the time. Having prices on each item this year was awesome. I had price ranges from free to $20 Lululemon outfits. It made a huge difference having this. I made a cardboard sign that said "clothing prices on tag" and on the reverse side it said "clothing half off" for later in the day. I had so many shoppers compliment my organization and say my garage sale was their favorite. I look forward to using this gun for a semi annual consignment sale I participate in. Prior to this I was safety pinning tags on clothes, that is a huge pain. I highly recommend this gun. You can see in my picture I had a ton of clothes, but in reality that was only about half of what I did! I still had baby, kids and men's items that aren't pictured. This worked like a champ for all of it.

Time saver
This gun is a great buy. I received enough "bullets" to get me through 2 consignment sales and a garage sale, and still have some leftover! I did go through 1 needle already but you get like 5. A serious time saver. I got many compliments at my garage sale for being organized--this was a big part of that!

Inexpensive and works great!
I've been selling my children's clothes at consignment sales for years now and have always priced the clothes using safety pins. I finally decided it was time to get a tagging gun and make my life easier. This gun sure did! It was one of the less expensive guns that are out on the market, but I thought I would give it a shot. I am so pleased with this tagging gun! The instructions were very clear on how to load the tags into the machine and how to insert and remove the needle. The only instructions that were not very clear was how to properly get the tag to go into the clothes. The instructions explained how to insert the needle into the clothes and pull the trigger but I kept having misfires. The tag would shoot out, but wouldn't go through the clothes. Having never used a tagging gun before, I didn't realize that you have to push the needle ALL the way through the tag and the clothes so it is flush and tight up against the base of the gun. The tag needs to be flush against the base. Once I figured that out, it's a breeze to use! Definitely recommend this product.

Nice product
I used this gun to tag clothes for a consignment sale on about 200 clothes. It works well, did have a few times where it jammed up but it was easy to fix. It is easy to load and the extra pieces you get are a good deal. I would recommend!
